I am a woodcut printmaker (and occasional screen printer and painter) living in Austin, TX. I make handmade postcards that tell strange and absurd stories. There are some fake travel posters in the mix now, too. Primarily working with reduction woodcuts, the current series includes one-off oddballs like a commemorative card from a "Badger Roundup" and one from a place where patrons can bathe in crude oil. Past series include a tawdry resort town in the southwest called "Visit Agave Bay," and "Greetings from the Seaside Inn," which details a particularly harrowing stay at a cheap motel in New England.
