Purveyors of Reproductive Knowledge: Clarissa Gonzalez, Maclovio Cantu, Jacqueline Negreros 

Clarissa Gonzalez: Clarissa Gonzalez is a North Texas based artist printmaker and educator, raised in multiple cities across South America, Europe, and Texas. By overlapping color, line, and texture, Gonzalez’ work addresses ideas of abstraction in relation to landscape, cartography, and human cosmology. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from the University of Texas at Austin in 2013 and received her Masters of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi in 2020. Prior to attending graduate school, Gonzalez was a member of Slugfest Printmaking Gallery and Workshop in Austin, Texas. Currently, she works as the Printmaking Visual Art Technician and Adjunct Professor at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX.

Maclovio Cantu: Maclovio Cantú IV is Chicanx artist and educator from South Bend, Indiana currently residing in Corpus Christi, Texas. Maclovio earned his Bachelors of Fine Arts from Indiana University South Bend in 2015 with a concentration in printmaking, and a Masters of Fine Art with a concentration in printmaking from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi in 2021. Maclovio works across the spectrum of printmaking as well as painting, sculpture, and quilt. He is currently working as an Adjunct Professor of Printmaking and Drawing at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi.

Jacqueline Negreros: Jacqueline Negreros is an artist and educator based in Corpus Christi, Texas. She recently received her Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Originally from Houston, Texas, she first developed an affinity for print at the University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art in 2013. Jacqueline exhibits regionally and nationally and participates in community engagement through live printing events. She was awarded a scholarship in 2019 to study monoprint at the Glassell Studio School in Houston and is excited to expand her studio practice as part of the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi community.
