Jun Lee (Washington, DC) is a printmaker who works in large format woodcut utilizing animals as metaphors to convey competition in our daily lives. Lee is a DC Art Bank Grant recipient from 2019 – 2022, awarded by the Government of DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities. She was the Printmaking Artist in Residence at the Lee Arts Center (VA, 2014 – 2021), Montgomery College Takoma Park/Silver Spring (MD, 2018), the winter residency at Penland School of Crafts (NC, 2017 – 2020), and the Denbo Fellowship from Pyramid Atlantic Art Center (MD, 2017). Lee attended the Minneapolis College of Art & Design where she earned a BFA in Illustration in 2002, and a Post Baccalaureate in Printmaking in 2004. In 2007, She received her MFA in Print Media from Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
