Founded by in 1989, Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking, also known as Flatbed Press, has sought to mentor, educate, explore and expand the role of traditional and innovative printmaking. Flatbed is known for its collaborative print shop where artists can create etchings, lithographs, relief prints, and monotypes with technical assistance from Flatbed's master printers. Flatbed’s Center for Contemporary Printmaking includes Flatbed Gallery where published projects are presented in exhibitions. Flatbed regularly exhibits and represents many artists working with printmaking media and their related works. Flatbed Gallery houses the archived inventory of prints that are available for purchase. Flatbed is proud to have works created at Flatbed Press acquired by many prestigious museums and collections.
